Money Service Centers of Hawaii, Inc. operates twelve money service offices in Hawaii under the trade name PayDayHawaii. These offices are located in Lihue, Kapaa, Kahului, Lahaina, Kihei, Kailua- Kona, Hilo, Kaneohe, Waianae and Honolulu. In March of 2001, PayDayHawaii launched an Internet site offering its Payday Advance service throughout the state. PayDayHawaii now has active clients on all of the major islands in Hawaii.

In 1999, Owner and Founder, R. Craig Schafer recognized that the market for money services traditionally served by neighborhood check cashing offices was rapidly changing. Recent changes in the money service business; specifically the introduction and regulation of the cash advance or deferred deposit transaction had increased the demand for money service offices. When the Hawaii State legislature passed a law regulating check cashing and deferred deposit transactions in July of 1999, he saw this as an opportunity to offer services in Hawaii where very few money service businesses where currently operating.
